The physical properties of alumina ceramic balls are mainly reflected in the Mohs hardness of 9.0, Rockwell hardness of 80-83, density of 3.6g/cm3, bulk density of 2.2t/m3. Alumina ceramic balls are specially developed for dry cement grinding. Not only has high strength, but also has good toughness. The structural characteristics of its alumina ceramic ball is mainly manifested in that the chemical composition of alumina grinding ball ceramic products is Al2O3, accounting for 90%. Its forming process is mainly divided into two categories: pressing and rolling. There are various specifications to choose from. The diameter is less than 20mm for rolling, and the diameter is greater than 20mm.

The physical properties of alumina ceramic balls and their structural characteristics can be applied to various processes of dry cement final grinding system, especially the combined grinding system of roller press and ball mill, only the average particle size of abrasive is less than 1mm. And some high quality oxide ceramic balls can be used instead of steel balls in the grinding bin (tail bin) of other open and closed cement grinding ball mills.
